Can somebody please pinch me and tell me how I’ve been known as “Mam” for seven whole months?
It’s truly amazing to see you grow as you become such a wonderful little person. Your personality is shining through and I’m beginning to witness the sweet, caring and handsome boy you’re turning in to not to mention the little cheeky side that’s becoming apparent too. Although I do wish I could keep you as my little boy forever, I’m excited to watch you grow.
Your last week of being six months old seemed to whizz by in a flash. It was certainly a one for milestones. You cut your very first tooth (finally – you’ve only been teething since you were two months old) and you started to crawl! I was beginning to think you’d miss this stage and move onto walking straight away as you love to be on your feet, but sure enough you’re giving me the run around on those knees!
Like we expected, food is most definitely your favourite thing and as you begin to rely less on bottles of milk and more on snacks and tasty treats, I’m beginning to realise just how much you’re growing. And it certainly won’t be long before you’re in 9-12 month clothing!
Time you really are an evil thing, you’re stealing precious moments away from me more than I care to think about because soon my little baby bubble will come crashing to an end and I’lll have to face reality. I am not ready for this to be over. I’m not ready to be anything but your everything. I don’t want to be a part-time mother, only seeing you when I can. I want to continue watching you while you nap, feeding you when you’re hungry, play peek-a-boo spontaneously, cosy up together and watch your favourite cartoons.
Here’s to another month of being your mammy – I can’t wait to see what exciting things we get up to in the lead up to your very first Christmas.
