So back in 2009, my nannie bought me my very first copy of Sew magazine. She had been doing her grocery shopping and noticed the new magazine on the shelves and thought I would like it. That was issue one. Fast forward to 2013 and after buying every issue since then, I would bag my very first placement working for the magazine. I couldn’t believe it.
Jump forward again to 2015 and I graduated from university having carried out a total of three placements at Sew, and was about to start my job as Editorial Assistant the very next day.
Sew has not only been my life for many years prior to working for it, but it quickly became an even bigger part when I met my best friend and love of my life, Chris.
Then along came our little squish and now he’s featured in that very magazine that changed my world forever. This has to be one of the proudest moments as a mam I’ve had. Who would have thought that magazine would be responsible for the biggest life changes I’ve made so far, and to see my beautiful little boy starring in it, is simply a dream come true.
Anyone who knows me well, will know just how much this means to me and I’m eternally grateful to have this to look back on in years to come. I can’t wait to tell Archie about this incredible journey and to show him his modelling debut in Sew. I’m also super proud to be on the page with him too – I love this picture of us both.
