Activity gyms are something that I would definitely put in the ‘must-have’ purchase pile when it comes to buying for a new baby. There are so many different ones on the market which vary in price too.
When I was pregnant I decided to go for a really plain and simple, neutral-coloured play gym that in reality wasn’t probably the best choice to go for. Don’t get me wrong, it looks beautiful and it was super soft and cosy for a newborn, but now that Archie is growing and becoming more curious, he is in need of something more exciting.
We were recently sent this amazing FisherPrice play gym and it’s most certainly been a hit with our little man – and I’m left feeling jealous that I’m too big to play with this too (of course I’ve tried)!
There are hanging toys that your little one will love to interact with, and they can be detached to be separate toys or in fact can be placed at the end of the ball drop to switch up their playing environment.
What’s great about this play gym is the fact it grows with your little one. Going from being the perfect newborn must-have, to a fun toy for a toddler too. As a newborn you can let your little one watch as you drop the balls down the shoots (which make noises too) and then once they grow they can do it themselves too.
The bright colours are sure to be an appeal for your little one, and the popular characters from the FisherPrice range are both recognisable and fun.
The mat can be fixed to the frame or left loose, but it also folds up to form a basket for the balls for your sitting child to enjoy.
As you can see, Archie is pretty excited about his new toy!
