December is now upon us and that means that it’s most certainly socially acceptable to embrace Christmas for the amazing time of year it is. The advent calendar is out and so are the little bits and pieces I’ve put together for Archie to begin his Christmas traditions.
I don’t think I’ve ever been this excited to purchase books. Reading is so important and I love sitting down with Archie and telling him a story – especially a Christmas one! These touchy-feely books are so much fun and I just love all of the different ones you can buy.
Elf on the shelf
Now, I am well aware of the fact that Archie is far too young to understand or appreciate this fun little tradition, but it’s really important to me that I start things right from his very first Christmas, plus it’s a bit of fun for Chris and I to enjoy this year.
I also picked up this elf surveillance sign to hang up that you can personalise with your little one’s name.
Little elf door
I have been obsessed with these tiny little doors since I spotted the cutest little fairy doors at Sass & Belle, which I did treat my favourite little lady to for her Christening present, and so when I saw I could get an elf version for Archie I literally jumped for joy. I know Chris thinks I’m crazy for all of the little things I obsess over, but I simply can’t help myself!
Our little elf’s house sits upon Archie’s windowsill (away from Winston’s tiny teeth). It looks so adorable and it’s making me feel super festive. I can’t wait until he’s really feeling all of the magic that Christmas has to offer.
Of course, I’ve saved the best ’till last and the tree is up and in full festive swing. I have to say, putting up a tree with a seven-month-old and a puppy was quite a daunting task, but so far I haven’t come downstairs to find Archie propping Winston at the top of the branches!

I’m also putting together a lovely little Christmas Eve box to celebrate Archie’s first Christmas, so stay tuned to see what I put inside!
