My July Goals

July? Are you kidding me? We’re already into the seventh month of the year and I feel like I’ve barely moved from the sofa since Christmas. I’ve decided I need to set myself some more goals and push myself to achieve them before this year is well and truly over. We’re now well into the second half of the year, and I really need to feel like I’ve accomplished more than just giving birth in 2017!

POSITIVITY | This is something I have struggled with way before motherhood and pregnancy took over my life and it’s about time I stopped feeling so negative and started a new, positive outlook on life. It’s difficult being a good mam and being a good partner, but I’ve got this. No one is perfect, and I have to remember that while also giving myself some credit because at the end of the day, I am doing a good job.

DECLUTTER | My goodness I own a lot of crap. Like seriously, every cupboard, drawer and wardrobe contains at least something of mine. And to be perfectly honest, I have no idea what’s in half of them. So it’s time I sorted through them all (Ok, some. This month only contains 31 days you know!) and got rid of things I don’t need. I anticipate this will be a pretty big task and I honestly have no idea where I’ll start but I hope I can at least tackle a couple of rooms! Wish me luck.

BABY CLASSES | I decided it was about time I kicked myself up the bum and booked Archie into some classes. I don’t like to admit to the fact I’ve been putting it off for so long, but to be honest I’ve been so scared to attend any. I hate the feeling of being looked at badly as a mother, or being judged, and I’ve always been worried that this is what baby classes are like. You know the sort? Those perfectly put together mums, with the perfect children, talking about their perfect lives and making you feel totally inadequate? I know I’m probably being crazy but I guess we’ll see!

LEARN SOMETHING | I’ve always been a lover of photography and although I took it pretty seriously while studying at uni, I’ve definitely neglected learning new techniques. That’s why this month I’d like to spend a little extra time perfecting my photography skills and taking killer pictures of my little man before he gets too big!

I’ll try and do a roundup of the month to see whether I achieved any of these goals, or whether they were just a total flop. So stay tuned 🙂 xx
