We really missed our Water Babies sessions over the Christmas break and what with Archie developing a chest infection just after the Christmas break, we decided to skip the first class back for the New Year. But, we were so pleased to be back in the water this weekend and learning lots of new tricks to get this super swimmer performing at his best.
He’s honestly at his happiest in the water and makes me so proud when everyone comments on his confidence within the pool. He’s always splashing and giggling and showing every sign of wanting to swim all by himself already – I’m pretty certain he was a fish in another life.
This week Archie did his very first solo swim going from the arms of the instructor into daddy’s hands. It must have been so scary feeling the hands disappearing from around his waist, but of course he took it all in his stride.
Like any mother, I am so proud of my little boy and what amazing things he’s already achieving. Sometimes I forget how tiny he still is because he’s doing so well, but I can’t wait for all the swimming adventures we’ll have.
Stay tuned for more of our Water Babies journey.
