Today Chris surprised me with a trip to Winter Wonderland. I LOVE the fact that London is right on our doorstep and the fact we can go there whenever we feel like it. It takes barley any planning at all and within an hour or so we can be there.
Rewind one year and I was walking around Hyde Park in London, fairly heavily pregnant and carrying the biggest teddy ever that we won on one of the funfair games, as well as two other teddies I may add.
This year was a little different. No longer was that baby inside of my belly, but in my arms instead and unfortunately we didn’t have as much luck on the teddy front this year (although daddy claims it was on purpose as we have no more room for stuffed animals).
One of the things I love most about Christmas markets, especially Winter Wonderland, is the amount of amazing food on offer. We had the most delicious hot dog with all of the trimmings – which of course ended up all over my face!
As well as churros of course!
Oh yea, and the pic ‘n’ mix!
Although I’m far too much of a chicken to attempt any of the big rides, the funfair games are definitely enough for me. I love feeling like a kid again, trying to win something from the near impossible carnival activities.
I did manage to get this funny little character from a ‘hook a penguin’ though, so I’m quite proud of that!
But most of all it was just so nice to spend quality time with my favourite people. I love our little family so much.
What Christmas markets have you visited this year?
