Ok, so if you’re from anywhere other than the North East, you’re probably wondering what on earth I’m talking about, but for those of you Northern’s that may happen to read this then you will most likely know from the title why this would be a big deal.
Fenwick Newcastle’s Christmas window display is a huge thing for us Northerners. Like it’s probably the biggest Christmas reveal in the North East, correct me if I’m wrong, ut it’s talked about SO MUCH.
I knew that making this a Christmas tradition for Archie was very important to me. It’s something I remember doing as a child and something that a lot of Northern’s make time for each year too.
This year the theme was Paddington Bear, which has to be one of my favourites.
It was so nice to spend some quality time with my mam and dad the past week too, and give them the chance to show off their grandparent skills – which by the way, are amazing. I love seeing them in their new role of Granny and Grandad because they are just so great at it. They’ve been my very best friends for the past 23 years and I already know how much Archie will love spending time with them as he grows up.
Seeing Archie watch the moving bears and glistening lights really made my heart smile. He was just at the right age to start to understand and notice the things around him, but I can’t wait to see how much more he will interact with it next year.
I love the amount of detail that goes into the window displays here at Fenwick Newcastle. It’s always such a spectacular display and everyone very much looks forward to the reveal each year.
Until next year, I can’t wait to see what you bring us!
What are your Christmas traditions?
